Ayurveda centers will be in 37 cantonment hospitals

New Delhi Ministry of Defense has decided to start Ayurveda Centers in 37 Cantonment Hospitals and 12 Military Health Care Facilities.

The ministry said that it has signed two Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of AYUSH (MoA) for starting an Ayurveda centre.

“Two MoUs have been signed by the Ministry of Defense (MoD) with the Ministry of AYUSH (MoA), one to start Ayurveda Centers in 37 Cantonment Hospitals and the other to set up Ayurveda Centers in 12 Military Hospitals of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) To begin with,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The MoUs were signed during the Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit, a three-day event organized at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering during the inaugural ceremony, where World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus was also present.
