B-school Great Lakes registers 31% increase in average salary in campus placements – Times of India

CHENNAI: Business school Great Lakes Institute of Management has reported a 31% increase in average salary package during campus placements of its PGPM (Post Graduate Program in Management) batch of 2022.

Average salary package offered by companies to students increased from Rs 13.6 lakh per annum to Rs 17.86 lakh per annum. This average salary also marked a historic high for the institute since its inception.

GLIM, which says it has consistently achieved 100% campus placements since its launch, saw 313 job offers for its students this year, up from 224 offers last year. This year the campus saw 22 new recruiters from startups and new age ventures such as CredAvenue, Intellect Design, Bristlecone, KMK Consulting, Lowe’s India and others.

Accenture, ADP, Bain, Deloitte, Cognizant, FedEx, HCL, Infosys, Tiger Analytics and Zoom were some of the top recruiters this year. Most of the proposals came from the business and strategy consulting segment (42%) and technology consulting was another top role.

GLIM said this year the requirements of companies have increased, especially for those with prior work experience in various fields, and the institute’s flagship PGPM program (1 year MBA) includes such talent.
