“Back In Touch With Nature”: US Man Quits Job And Moves To Jungle Treehouse In Hawaii

Robert Bratton lives in a treehouse in the woods.

Who doesn’t love being close to the natural world?

However, in the age of digitization, this idea can only be realized as a wilderness vacation—no more—as metropolitan life continues to entice urban citizens.

But there’s a man in northern California who not only quit his job and relocated to the jungles of Hawaii, but also built his own treehouse, relied entirely on rainwater, and grew all his own food .

According to Metro, Robert Bratton, 35, gave up his life as a supermarket cashier in northern California to move away because he wanted to ‘conserve nature holistically’. He’s been living remotely since 2011, when he traveled across America in a van to find the perfect place to build a home.

He bought the land with his monthly earning from TikTok and said that he does not miss anything from his past life. In 2020, he decided to settle in Hawaii and bought a quarter-acre of land and construction materials for about $29,850 (roughly Rs. 24,69,857).

Robert regularly shares his wildlife related updates on social media platforms in the form of videos and images. Along with this, he also tells people how he grows his own food and detoxifies his body in difficult times.

Robert Breton’s Instagram profile reads, “I help people escape the matrix and go beyond the confines of our modern world by getting in touch with nature.”

She has over 1 lakh followers on Instagram who regularly interact with her about life in the lap of nature.
