After the heinous crime at the Badlapur school, in the state of Maharashtra, the state government has issued guidelines to ensure safety of the female students. As per the reports, several changes will be made within the institutions to educate the students on danger signs and avail safety. Here are all the details on the report. According to the guidelines issued by the state government, all the state schools have to install a complaint box. The students will be given special classes, where they will be taught about the good touch and the bad touch. Every school in the state of Maharashtra has to follow the guidelines, the reports stated further.

The School Education Minister of the state Deepak Kesarkar ordered the formation of two committees, the Vishakha Samiti and Sakhi Savitri Samiti, which would have to ensure the safety of the students. More information states that Maharashtra ordered the formation of the committees eight months ago, but several schools did not follow it.

So, after the recent incident the Education Minister has warned that if the order was not followed, the involved would be held responsible. Strict action will be taken against the block officers. The authorities have been instructed to issue notices to the schools not following the orders.

According to Minister Kesarkar, it is now mandatory for the schools to install CCTV cameras in the campus. The government will take the help of various NGOs to carry out the change, the reports stated. Minister Kesarkar mentioned the incident is being taken “very seriously” by the government.

To protest against the failure to keep the children safe in schools, the Badlapur residents blocked the Badlapur railway station. The railway traffic was reportedly halted for a duration of 6 hours. The trains at the Badlapur-Kalyan railway line faced blockages, the reports said. The accused, a cleaner at the school, was arrested by the police for allegedly assaulting two students in the premises of the institution. An investigation team was formed for the case and it is currently underway.
