Ballygunge bypoll: TMC’s Babul Supriyo confident of winning the election

TMC candidate from Ballygunge assembly seat in West Bengal Babul Supriyo has expressed confidence and said that the Trinamool Congress will win the bypolls in the state. He said that the people are with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Babul Supriyo said, “I am sure. The 41 per cent turnout here rejected the unnecessary claim of false voting by the opposition. If it had happened, there would have been such a huge turnout? West Bengal is with Didi and TMC.”

The bypoll was necessitated after former Union minister Babul Supriyo resigned from the post of Lok Sabha MP from Asansol following his resignation from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He later joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC). After the death of Minister of State Subrata Mukherjee, the by-election was held for the Ballygunge assembly seat.

Speaking on the Asansol Lok Sabha by-election, Supriyo said, “Asansol has showered me a lot of love and I will always appreciate it. Shatrughan Sinha’s victory is also certain. Every moment is interesting and let’s enjoy it before we reach the final stage of the result.” travel.”

Counting of votes for the by-elections to the Asansol Lok Sabha seat and Ballygunge assembly seat in West Bengal began at 8 am on Saturday.

Voting for the by-election was held on April 12. The Trinamool Congress has fielded former Union minister Shatrughan Sinha, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Agnimitra Paul from the Asansol constituency for the bypoll.

BJP has fielded Keya Ghosh while Saira Shah Halim is the CPI(M) candidate for the Ballygunge assembly bypoll. Former Union Minister Babul Supriyo is also in the fray from TMC.

The by-election for the Asansol Lok Sabha seat was necessitated after Supriyo resigned from the lower house after leaving the BJP. He later joined TMC. After the death of Minister of State Subrata Mukherjee, a by-election was held for the Ballygunge assembly seat.
