Bangalore-based health-tech startup Clinique launches all-inclusive health subscriptions

Bengaluru-based health-tech start-up Clinic has launched its all-inclusive health subscriptions, which aims to bring down medical costs to zero by integrating health insurance with its comprehensive outpatient care delivery model.

With this subscription model, clients of the clinic can visit any of the clinic’s 18 primary care centers called Clinic Health Hubs in Bangalore (16) and Hyderabad (2) and easily avail unlimited medical care.

The clinic offers an all-inclusive plan that gives families unlimited access to outpatient care as well 5 lakh cashless hospitalization insurance cover for monthly subscription fee 500. Insurance cover specially designed for clinic members by an insurance partner. Membership provides round-the-clock support to the clinic’s clients and their families from their family doctors, either virtually or through the clinic’s tech-enabled care centers. Additionally, customers are also eligible for free diagnostics and medicines prescribed by doctors.

The clinic focuses on over 600 million Indians who can neither afford private insurance nor are covered by a corporate plan but aspire to quality private care. Without access to adequate health protection along with an outcome-focused primary care model, the segment falls into the high-risk category, staring at catastrophic medical expenses.

Currently, health insurance options offer limited protection, mostly for hospitalization alone, placing excessive out-of-pocket costs for outpatient care, which constitute the bulk of health expenditures.

Bhavjot Kaur, Co-Founder and CEO, Clinic. “Recurring medical expenses are equally poor and therefore a holistic health plan needs to provide financial protection for both devastating as well as recurring health problems,” she said.

The clinic’s technology platform assists its doctors with automated clinical decision support that is embedded in their workflow and ensures that patients receive safe, effective and protocol-based care. A tech-enabled care team model also allows the clinic to comprehensively and efficiently provide the needed incentive and preventive care.

In addition, capitalizing on the National Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) infrastructure, the clinic will be able to integrate care data from multiple providers to keep its members healthy, engaged and help them survive medical emergencies. To prepare individual care plans. This helps to improve outcomes and save costs to patients, insurers and the health ecosystem at large.

Clinique has so far raised $6.4 million from large investors like MassMutual Ventures, 500 Startups, Times Internet and leading angels like Kunal Shah, Rohit MA, Rajan Anandan etc.
