Bangladesh beat Oman in a game of victory

Hand Shock in his first match of T20 World CupBangladesh will have to settle some self-confessed batting problems and play up to their reputation in a winning game against hosts Oman on Tuesday.

Bangladesh entered the tournament as the number six team that defeated New Zealand and Australia at home.

However, it was found desired against a spirited Scotland on Sunday and lost the game by six runs due to normal batting performance.

Scotland were expected to get away with Bangladesh after being bundled out for 53 for six, but the pressure of the big stage probably made it the better.

Captain Mahmudullah blamed the batsmen for the unexpected defeat and said they should have done better against Oman, which defeated Papua New Guinea in their first match.

Bangladesh need a win on Tuesday to retain themselves for a spot in the Super-12 stage.
