All branches of lenders in public sector, private sector, foreign banks, co-operative banks and regional banks remain closed on notified bank holidays as prescribed by RBI.
These bank holidays are also divided into national and regional category wise. While during the bank holidays in the national category, all lenders across India remain closed, during the holidays in the regional section only branches in the respective regions remain closed.
