It should also be noted that Reserve Bank Keeps bank holidays under three different brackets. These are – ‘Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act’, ‘Holidays and Real Time Gross Settlement Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act’ and ‘Banks’ Closing of Accounts’. All branches of lenders in public sector, private sector, foreign banks, co-operative banks and regional banks remain closed on notified bank holidays as prescribed by RBI.

These bank holidays are also divided into national and regional category wise. While during the bank holidays in the national category, all lenders across India remain closed, during the holidays in the regional section only branches in the respective regions remain closed.

It should also be noted that bank holidays in April 2022 do not include national holidays, but most banks across the country will remain closed on April 1 and 14. For this, one should always approach their nearest branch for the respective bank holidays. Month.
