Basavanagudi election result: BJP’s Ravi Subramanya defeats INC’s UB Venkatesh

Karnataka Elections 2023 Results: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ravi Subramanya LA has won the Basavanagudi seat and defeated Congress candidate UB Venkatesh by a margin of 54,978 votes in the Karnataka Assembly Elections.

According to details received from the Election Commission’s website, Subramaniam got 78,854 votes including 498 postal votes, while Venkatesh got 23,876 votes including 122 postal votes.

Third position was held by JD(S) Armane Shankar who got 19,931 votes including 92 postal votes.

In short, Subramaniam got 61.47 percent of the total votes, while Venkatesh managed to get 18.61 percent. Shankar got 15.54 per cent votes.

According to the ECI website, Indian National Congress is leading in 136 seats, while BJP is leading in 64 seats and JD(S) is leading in 20 seats.

Earlier, state Congress chief DK Shivakumar won the Kanakapura seat by securing 1,43,023 or 75.03% votes. He defeated R Ashok of BJP and B Nagaraju of JD(S).
