BCCI extends date to buy documents for new IPL teams, check details

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced that they have decided to extend the date of purchase of invitation to tender (ITT) for the ownership and operation rights of one of the two proposed new IPL teams till October 20.

The IPL’s Governing Council issued the ‘Invitation to Tender’ (“ITT”) document available on payment of non-refundable tender fees on August 31, 2021.

Invitation to purchase ITT document (“Invitation”) issued on 31st August, 2021 is enclosed as Annex A. Subsequently, BCCI extended the date of purchase of ITT documents till October 10, 2021 (Detail Notice I). Detail Information I is enclosed as Annexure B.

As per the requests of various interested parties, the BCCI has now decided to extend the date of purchase of ITT documents to October 20, 2021. ITT will be available to interested parties on receipt of payment of non-refundable tender fee of INR 10. ,00,000 (Rupees ten lakh only) plus any applicable Goods and Services Tax. All other terms contained in the Invitation Document shall apply.

Interested parties are requested to email ittipl2021@bcci.tv to get more details for buying ITT. Emails requesting ITT should have the subject line “ITT FOR THE RIGHT TO OWN AND OPERATE ONE OF TWO PROPOSED NEW IPL TEAM”. Any interested party willing to submit a bid is required to purchase ITT. However, only those who fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down in ITT and subject to other terms and conditions laid down therein shall be eligible to bid. It is clarified that mere purchase of this ITT does not entitle any person to bid.

BCCI reserves the right to cancel or modify the bidding process at any stage without assigning any reason.
