On the cricketing front, Royal Challengers Bangalore will aim to eliminate over-reliance on their famed top-order when they face an aggressive Lucknow Supergiants in the IPL here on Monday.
RCB are struggling to maintain the momentum provided by Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell, who have all scored in the eight matches so far.
With most teams close in the standings, the margin for errors decreased in the second half of the competition.
Kohli, Du Plessis and Maxwell can’t be expected to do well in every match and now the time has come for Mahipal Lomror, Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik to step up.
Fielding and catching also need to improve, as pointed out by Kohli himself after the loss to KKR.
