Bengal minister Arup Biswas tests COVID positive, hospitalized

West Bengal Power Minister Arup Biswas was admitted to the hospital on Saturday after he tested positive for COVID-19, an official said.

Mr Vishwas, who exhibited mild symptoms, tested positive for the infection and was admitted to a hospital in the southern part of Kolkata, he said.

“He has mild symptoms and is being administered antibodies. His oxygen levels are being monitored, and it is not yet decided whether to send his samples for genome sequencing,” the official said. PTI.

He said that the doctors of the hospital are keeping Biswas under strict surveillance.
