Bengaluru traffic: Karnataka CM gives strict orders to decongest

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has ordered officials to take action to clear traffic congestion at ten prominent places in Bengaluru. Hebbal, Mahadevapura Outer Ring Road, Silk Board Junction and Whitefield Road are some of the places that have significant traffic bottlenecks.

Basavaraj Bommai Strict instructions were given to the employees to remove any encroachment on arterial, sub-arterial and high density roadways and provide a report on the measures taken.

Along with representatives of BBMP, BWSSB, Urban Development, Police and other departments, the Chief Minister of Karnataka chaired a meeting on traffic management in Bengaluru. Actions will include synchronizing traffic lights and removing obstacles to allow for easier traffic flow. The DCP of the affected area will oversee the work.

Basavaraj Bommai gave strict instructions to fill potholes on the roads leading to the national highways and start emergency repairs at about 50 places prone to floods after the rains.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Basavaraj Bommai wanted BBMP, BWSSB, BMRCL and BESCOM to cooperate under the general direction of additional chief secretaries of the Home and Urban Development departments to develop strategies to reduce staff. Traffic jam in the city.

Bommai said that work should begin on signal synchronization in the city’s CBD and other areas with significant traffic density. The problem of repeated road digging by various municipal bodies like BWSSB and BMRCL as well as the problem of dumping debris without covering the dug roads were also discussed.
