Bhadradri ready for divine marriage

Historic Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple 17. belongs to th The Shatabdi at Bhadrachalam is elegantly designed for the divine marriage (Tiru Kalyan Mahotsav) of Lord Rama with his wife Sita on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami on 10th April.

The temple resonates with divine waves on the eve of the Sri Ram Navami festival that takes place on Sunday.

The fortnight-long annual Brahmotsavam began on a grand scale at the temple on April 2, on the occasion of the Ugadi festival.

Bhadradri Temple, the abode of Lord Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy, witnessed low-key celebrations of the annual religious festival in the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The celestial marriage was held inside the temple premises without the presence of devotees due to the threat of coronavirus for two consecutive years – 2020 and 2021.

With the COVID situation completely under control, the temple is likely to see an influx of thousands of devotees for the Sri Ram Navami festival.

In accordance with age-old temple traditions, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is expected to present pattu robes to the presiding deity of the temple on behalf of the state government during the Tiru Kalyan Mahotsav to be held at the Midhila Stadium in Bhadrachalam on Sunday.

Area wise arrangements have been made for the devotees to see the celestial marriage in a smooth manner.

Temple sources said that Ubhayadar and other region wise tickets have been made available in online mode and through the ticket booking counter in the temple as per the stipulated time limit.

Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Sundararajan will attend the “Maha Pattabhishekam (coronation) of Lord Rama” at the historic temple in Bhadrachalam on Monday.

The temple authorities have made arrangements for free distribution of around 180 quintals of Talambralu after Tiru Kalyan Mahotsav among the devotees through special counters in the temple town on Sunday.

Devotees from far flung places of the state and also from Andhra Pradesh with unshakable devotion offered “Goti Talambralu” to the temple deity during the preparation of Mutyala Talambralu to be used during celestial marriages.
