Students of Bhubaneswar Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) have made the logo of Mo School made of waste material. This is the first commercial logo of Government ITI students which they have made from the waste parts of cycles and motor vehicles. This bicycle is composed of a bearing, chain, seat, sprocket, connecting rod, gear, piston, spanner and spring. 15 students made this logo in 25 days.
The Mo school was formerly called “ଅ” (Odia alphabet) and is now “ଆ” (Odia alphabet). “We got an order from Mo School to make the logo of Mo School out of waste material. We formed a team and started working. It took 15 to 20 days to make it.”
One of the students who created the logo, Kalandi Behera told News18.com, “We have made this logo from waste material. Scrap material remained unused in our workshop. Thus, we collected them and made this beautiful logo of MO School.”
Mo School President Sushmita Bagchi had asked to make this logo to introduce technical skills among the students. The college principal expressed happiness over the performance of the students. Apart from this, a sculpture will also be made from the scrap which will be placed in various urban parks. The Principal said that the students would get a chance to develop their talent and they would also be able to earn.
“The students will get a chance to hone their creativity. All the students are attending the class. But if we can make something with welding skills it will encourage manufacturers and inspire others. The students are doing successfully,” said Jeet Mitra Satpathy, Principal, Bhubaneswar Sarkar ITI. It has taken new steps to make the students well-specialized, skilled and self-employed.
