Bihar Board 10th Result 2022: 79.88% out of 16.11 lakh students in Bihar clear matriculation – Times of India

Patna: Girls have outperformed boys by beating all the places in the top three in the tenth examination. Bihar The results of the School Examination Board (BSEB) were released by the state education minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary on Thursday at Vikas Bhawan here.

Ramayani Roy of Patel High School, Daudnagar, Aurangabad has topped with 97.4 per cent marks in 487 out of 500. Sania Kumari, Project Girls High School, Rajauli in Nawada and Vivek Kumar Thakur of New Upgrade High School, Madhubani shared the second position with 97.2% each. Pragya Kumari, Upgraded Secondary School, Goh, Aurangabad stood third with 97%.

There has been an increase of 1.7 percent in the overall pass percentage in the matriculation exam as 79.88 percent of the students who appeared for the exam this year have passed. Last year the pass percentage was recorded at 78.18 per cent. Of the 16.11 lakh students who appeared in the BSEB matriculation examination, 12,86,971 were successful, including 6,08,861 girls and 6,78,110 boys. Of the successful students, a total of 4,24,597 (32.9%) passed with first division, 5,10,411 (39.65%) with second division and 3,47,637 (27.01%) with third division, while 4,326 students Passed compartmental exam. Altogether 413 examinees were expelled for using unfair means, while 64 persons were arrested as candidates.

Elaborating on the results, Board Chairman Anand Kishor said that a total of eight students have made it to the top 5 and 47 students in the top 10 list. He said that this year in the history of Bihar and for the first time in any board of the country, the result of matriculation has been released in the month of March.

“Earlier, the board has released the results in the month of April. Many important reforms have been made by the board using modern technology in its examination system. The results of more than 16.11 lakh students were published in just 27 days, which is a record. Over 96 lakh bar-coded copies were evaluated by teachers and marks were entered directly by computer operators on BSEB’s software,” Kishor said.

Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary said that he is happy that Bihar has been consistently ahead in taking the exams and publishing the results in record time as compared to other boards. “We declared class XII results on March 16 and class X results within 14 days. There is no compromise in releasing the result in record time.

Addressing media persons, the minister said that 80% of girls have made it to the top 5, indicating that CM Nitish Kumar’s vision is to educate all girls in Bihar. “The society is now giving equal importance to the education of girls. Secondly, since we have improved our examination system, the state has seen the shift of students from other board to Bihar board in the last 3-4 years. As per the 2019 figures, around 69,500 students from CBSE, CISCE and other state boards have taken admission in the Bihar board.

Additional Chief Secretary (Education) Sanjay Kumar, who was present on the occasion, said that the students included in the merit list belong to rural areas, which is a good sign for the state that excellence in education is being achieved continuously. He congratulated the Board for conducting the fair and fair examination while maintaining the integrity of the examination.
