Bihar CM Nitish Kumar confirms Tejashwi Yadav’s promise to provide 10 lakh jobs

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on August 12 confirmed the work on the promise made by Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav to provide 10 lakh jobs, which he made while leading the RJD’s campaign during the 2020 assembly elections.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Kumar said, “It is correct. We are trying and we will try our best. What he has said is true. All efforts will be made for this.”

Earlier in the day, a war of words broke out between Union Minister Giriraj Singh and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav over the RJD leader’s poll promise of 10 lakh jobs earlier.

Giriraj Singh also took a clip of Yadav’s interview and took a dig at the RJD leader, saying that Yadav would fulfill his poll promise only after becoming the chief minister as he is now a deputy.

In response, Yadav posted a longer version of this interview and said, “Don’t be so shameless. One does not become knowledgeable just by having a one foot long peak.

To which Singh hit back saying, “The top leaders of the secular government of Bihar have started attacking the symbols of Hinduism.” Singh also said that the “son of a fodder thief” cannot become a saint in the context of fodder scam cases in which Yadav’s father and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad have been convicted.
