Bimbisaar is all set to release in theaters on August 5. With the increasing craze of South Indian films in the Hindi belt, it is expected that the upcoming film will be able to attract the audience. The trailer of the film has managed to garner buzz even before its release and it remains to be seen how much money it earns at the box office. Reports have claimed that the makers have closed a deal with a leading streaming service for the OTT premiere of Bimbisaar, as it goes on to theatrically.

Fans and movie buffs will be able to watch Bimbisaar in cinema halls from 5th August. Those excited for the film’s OTT premiere know that as per reports, Bimbisaar will be available for streaming on ZEE5. The film is a huge hit in the Telugu states, but it remains to be seen how it will perform in the Hindi belt. Interestingly, despite the growing popularity of South Indian films in the north, Bimbisaar will be released with subtitles and the Hindi dubbed version will not be available outside major states.

Bimbisara starred Jr NTR’s brother Nandamuri Kalyan Rama in the title role of the Emperor of Magadha in the 5th century BC with Catherine Tresa, Samyukta Menon and Warina Hussain. The film is produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s home banner NTR Arts, which was able to put together this massive project, despite stiff competition from other filmmakers. Through time travel, he portrays the cruel king Bimbisara as well as his incarnation in the present age.

Jr NTR praises half-brother Kalyan Ram for Bimbisara
The pre-release schedule for the mythology based Bimbisaar in Hyderabad saw a huge gala as RRR star Jr NTR returned to the masses after a long absence. Everyone was shaken by Jr NTR’s passionate speech about his brother. Jr NTR said, “If Kalyan Ram had not been there, there would have been no one else and would have justified the role of Bimbisara.” He then praised director Vashistha for giving the film Bimbisaar a great shape despite being a debutante. He also revealed that Vashisht told him about the basic idea of the story about two years ago, and that the finished product is much better now than he narrated.
