Chaba said the company is seeing signs of positive consumer sentiment due to the slowdown in demand and expects demand to pick up with the end of the year.
“We have seen a growth of 56 per cent with retail sales of 37,723 units (January-November 2021) as against 24,152 units sold in the same period last year,” he added.
However, production levels are currently affected and will remain so in the next quarter due to a global shortage of semiconductor chips, Chaba said.
The automaker, which sells models such as the Hector and Astor, is also looking to broaden its electric vehicle line-up in the country.
