Congress will be defeated by anti-RSS propaganda in Karnataka: CM

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said Congress is losing ground elsewhere as a result of anti-RSS propaganda and the same will happen in the state. “Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Congress leaders were always against RSS, so they speak against the organization but people are well aware of RSS. Their (Congress) anti-RSS propaganda lost their base everywhere and the same will happen in Karnataka,” Bommai said.

The Chief Minister said that RSS has been promoting patriotism and doing public service for the last 75 years. Stating that the RSS has done good work in different parts of the country, Bommai said that the organization always runs to help people during calamities.

Hitting out at the RSS a week ago, Siddaramaiah had questioned whether the people associated with the organization were “native Indians”, “Dravidians” or “Aryans”. This statement was sharply criticized by BJP leaders.

Regarding the controversy over the textbook review committee, Bommai said that politics is being done regarding textbook revision.
