BJP takes out protest march against KCR government over unemployment

Hanumakonda (Telangana) [India]April 15 (ANI): The BJP on Saturday took out a protest march against the K Chandrasekhar Rao-led BRS government alleging “unemployment” in the state.

BJP’s Telangana unit chief Bandi Sanjay led the march along with several other prominent party leaders. A large number of people participated in the procession.

The march started from the Kakatiya University campus and ended under the Ambedkar statue.

Prior to the protest, a large police force was deployed along the route for the march from Kakatiya University to Ambedkar Kendra.

Speaking to ANI, the detainee Sanjay said, ‘We will not be afraid even if cases are registered against us. We will keep fighting against this government.

“In the TSPSC issue, there should be an inquiry by a sitting judge and KTR (KCR’s son and a state minister) should be sacked. He said that unemployed youth should be given a compensation of Rs one lakh each.

Earlier, BJP spokesperson NV Subhash alleged that the Telangana State Public Service Commission question papers were leaked by people close to state minister KT Rama Rao and his father and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, claiming that Rs 30 lakh The candidates are still seeking jobs in the state.

“Their dreams have been shattered. We have approached the court and demanded immediate action against Rao. A sitting High Court judge should be appointed to probe the scam. Students who appeared for the exam should be compensated,” said the BJP leader.

Subhash said the next leg of their march would be from Mahbubnagar on April 21 and then Khammam, the dates for which are yet to be decided.

Bandi Sanjay told ANI, “I will hold 10 rallies across the state, which will conclude with a mega rally in Hyderabad.”

“We have put forth three demands. IT Minister KT Rama Rao should resign after paper leak. The matter should be probed by a sitting High Court judge and a compensation of Rs 1 lakh each should be released to all the students affected by the leak,” said Sanjay.

The Telangana BJP chief was arrested by the police from his Karimnagar residence on the late night of April 4 in connection with the paper leak case.

He was granted bail by a magistrate court on 6 April. The court had granted bail on the condition of furnishing a bond of Rs 20,000 from a magistrate’s court in Warangal. (ANI)
