BJP targets KCR for not following protocol on receiving PM Modi at airport

Union Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Smriti Irani on July 12 attacked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for skipping the protocol of receiving Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Begumpet airport in Hyderabad.

Irani was of the view that KCR not only insulted an individual but also an institution and alleged that Rao had endangered the integrity of the Constitution.

Addressing a press conference at HICC in Hyderabad, Irani said, “Telangana CM KCR insulted not only an individual but also an institution. He put the integrity of the Constitution at risk. Politics for KCR’s party There may be a circus, but for BJP workers it is a medium. Social emancipation and nation building.”

Meanwhile, another Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also pulled up the TRS chief for violating protocol.

He took to Twitter and wrote, “Cooperative federalism in letter and spirit is the cornerstone of our democracy. By violating protocol once again on purpose, the CM of Telangana has insulted the institution of both a CM and PM. KCR in his corrupt We can hide politics but our corrupt politics will not remain hidden.”

Earlier in the day, KCR received opposition presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha at the Begumpet airport, hours before the prime minister landed at the same airport.

In February this year, KCR was absent during the Prime Minister’s visit to Hyderabad.

Too, TRS working president and minister KT Rama RaoCommenting on the BJP’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, advised its leaders to indulge in the city’s famous Dum Biryani and Irani Chai while they were there.

Rama Rao tweeted last night, “Welcome WhatsApp University to its Executive Council meeting in the beautiful city of Hyderabad. To all Jhumla creatures, don’t forget to enjoy our Dum Biryani and Irani Chai.”

In the tweet, he also posted photographs of some of the most recognized programs of the state government, including T-Hub 2.0, Kaleshwaram Project, Police Command Control Building and Yadadri Temple. He advised the leaders to visit places, make notes and try to implement the programs in their states.
