Patel said the idea is to have at least 2,000 cricket teams.

Currently, only male participation is allowed, with an age limit of 18 years. “We want to inspire first-time voters to participate. The teams will be entirely young and the upper limit will be 25.”

Asked whether the name of the league was also suggested by Shah, Patel called it a “collective decision”.
