BJP’s Kailash Vijayvargiya dressed as comic hero at Madhya Pradesh event

Kailash Vijayvargiya dressed up as comic hero Chacha Chowdhary.

Indore of Madhya Pradesh hosts every year Bazar Battu event, an annual Comedy Poet Conference (Comedy Poet Conference). As a part of this year’s event, the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kailash Vijayvargiya Dress up as the popular Indian cartoon character Chacha Chowdhary.

Explaining his choice, Mr. Vijayvargiya described Chacha Chowdhary as a treasure of experience. Dressed in Chacha Chowdhary’s attire – a red turban, a wooden stick, a vest with a double inside pocket, and a pocket watch – Mr Vijayvargiya said the comic book character is an experienced farmer from rural areas and has an intelligent personality . From sensing the weather to solving crimes, Mr Vijayvargiya said Chacha Chowdhary has various talents, comparing him to a “supercomputer”.

Mr. Vijayvargiya also said that he chose this character to pay respect to the elders and veteran members of the rural community across India. The leader said that while people underestimate people in rural areas, India’s villages have tremendous potential and he wanted to convey the same message through his Chacha Chaudhary avatar. Along with Mr. Vijayvargiya, former BJP MLA Jitu Jirati appeared in the character of Sabu, a giant alien who acts as Chacha Chaudhary’s ally in the comics.

Those who could guess Kailash Vijayvargiya’s outfit of choice for this year’s event, before the leader was revealed, stood to win a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. However, no one could quite guess Vijayvargiya’s choice of dress this time.

Chacha Chowdhary is a character created by Pran Kumar Sharma in the late 1970s. Chacha Chowdhary is known for his wit, intelligence and problem-solving abilities, which he uses to solve various mysteries and crimes. As the name suggests, he is an elderly man who lives in a fictional town called Vishrampur with his wife Bini, who is equally sharp-tongued.

Meanwhile, Kailash Vijayvargiya, in 2018, appeared as the late ‘King of Rock’ Elvis Presley for the Bazar Battu event.
