BJP’s UP chief aims to win all 80 Lok Sabha seats in 2024

Choudhary discussed the results of the recent bypolls and exhorted the party workers to set the target.

BJP’s Uttar Pradesh unit chief Bhupendra Singh Choudhary told party workers on Sunday that Narendra Modi has to be re-elected as prime minister by winning all 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in the 2024 general elections.

Choudhary discussed the results of the recent bypolls and exhorted the party workers to set the target.

Presiding over the day-long meeting of the BJP’s state executive at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan here, Choudhary said, “God-like workers of the BJP have worked tirelessly to win the Azamgarh and Rampur bypolls.” Help win Gola and Rampur (Sadar) assembly constituencies. Chowdhary said the adverse results in the by-elections in Khatauli (Assembly) and Mainpuri (Parliamentary) constituencies meant that “we need to work harder together”.

The BJP won the Rampur (Sadar) assembly constituency, while the Samajwadi Party’s Dimple Yadav won the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat – where a by-election was necessitated by Mulayam Singh Yadav’s demise in October. Samajwadi Party’s ally Rashtriya Lok Dal has won the Khatauli assembly seat.

The saffron party had also won the Rampur parliamentary constituency during the bypolls held in June. The by-election was necessitated due to the resignation of Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan from the Lok Sabha. It also retained the Gola Gokarnath assembly seat, defeating the Samajwadi Party.

Chowdhary said, “We have to fulfill the resolve of making Narendrabhai Modi the Prime Minister once again while fulfilling the mission 2024 target of winning all 80 seats and the remaining Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh in the 2024 general elections.”

He said that the elections to the municipal bodies in the state would have been completed by now but the way the opposition parties tried to create hurdles by adopting gimmicks.

Chowdhary claimed that the BJP would defeat the parties who were obstructing the municipal elections.

The BJP leader said that India’s chairmanship of the prestigious G20 and Shanghai Cooperation Organization has opened a new chapter of history in the country.

Chowdhary said the government in India’s largest state, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is set to hold a third groundbreaking ceremony to invite investors.

He also targeted the opposition parties in the state. Without naming anyone, Chowdhary said that the leaders of those parties who gained power in Uttar Pradesh by playing politics in the name of backward people, only benefited their families and near and dear ones.

He said the leaders playing “caste politics” have forgotten that the people of Uttar Pradesh have rejected the politics of caste and nepotism in elections.
