A spokesman for the capital’s commander said at least two people were injured in an explosion at a mosque in Kabul. The emergency hospital said in a tweet that it had found five bodies and more than a dozen injured patients from the blast.
A Taliban official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media, said explosives were placed inside the pulpit of the mosque and that at least 11 people were killed.
