bmw Motorrad India is all set to launch an all new 310 cc fully-faired sports bike based on? TVS Apache RR 310 Tomorrow in the country, ie 15th July. The company has revealed several teasers of the motorcycle, and has started accepting bookings as well. To be named as the ‘G 310 RR’, the new motorcycle will surely be a rebadged version of the Apache RR 310, barring a few unique changes.
similar to BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS, the new fully-faired motorcycle will use the same 312 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as the Apache RR 310. This engine gives maximum power of 34 PS and output of 27.3 Nm at 9700 rpm. Peak torque at 7700 rpm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed gearbox.
The bike will come equipped with a 5.0-inch color TFT display with full-LED lighting as well as Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Other features will include a bi-directional quickshifter, traction control, as well as an adjustable suspension. The G 310 RR will feature unique livery as well as paint schemes while the overall design, which includes fairing, tail section, exhaust etc. The donor bike is expected to be similar.
The price is yet to be revealed, but we expect the BMW motorcycle to be more expensive than the TVS Apache RR 310, which has been given the badge value. For reference, TVS currently sells the RR 310 at a starting price of Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). BMW Motorrad India has also revealed that EMIs for the upcoming motorcycle start at Rs 3,999 with BMW Financial Services.
