BMW introduces M3 touring safety car for MotoGP

BMW marked its presence at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed ​​in celebration of the M Division’s 50th anniversary. Goodwood had several BMW cars, and some of the cars of the past included the 3.0 CSL, M1 Procar and V12 LMR. As for new cars, BMW unveiled the M3 Touring for the first time at Goodwood, giving the company the recently unveiled BMW M LMDH race car. At the event, BMW also announced that the newly launched M3 Touring would also be the official safety car of MotoGP, and also unveiled it.

The BMW M3 Touring went up the famous hill at Goodwood, with the series-production performance wagon of its ancestor, which had been MotoGP’s safety car since 1999. To pay tribute to BMW M’s 50 years and decades of association with MotoGP, the M3 Touring safety car wears a special livery and ’50 Venom’ badging on the windshield and door panels that translates to “50 years”. . All MotoGP safety cars from 1999 to the present day are also listed in the car.

The BMW M3 Touring safety car gets a custom exhaust which is housed in a diffuser made of carbon fiber. It also comes equipped with the BMW M Performance Package, sporting Recaro race seats, 4-point harness, roof lights, front flashers and a fuel extraction system that completes the safety package.
