BMW Motorrad India has teased a fully faired sports bike based on the TVS Apache RR 310. – times of India

Back in 2013, bmw motorrad and TVS The motor company signed a long-term strategic partnership to manufacture sub-500 cc motorcycles, and this collaboration has so far resulted in three products on the shared 310 cc platform – the BMW G 310 R, the BMW 310 GS, as well as the TVS Apache RR 310, Now, it looks like BMW is all set to use this platform to introduce another motorcycle: a completely faired sports bike based on TVS Apache RR 310,
BMW Motorrad India has released a teaser video revealing the tail section of the upcoming motorcycle on its social media handle. The tail of the sports bike is very similar to the rear of the TVS Apache RR 310. It seems that the LED tail lights of the TVS sports bike have been carried over while the turn indicators also look the same. This points to the fact that the BMW motorcycle could also be a rebadged Apache RR 310.

Keeping it in line with the G 310 R and G 310 GS, BMW may name the new motorcycle as the G 310 RR. The motorcycle may use the same 312 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as the donor bike. It generates maximum power of 34 PS at 9700 rpm and peak torque of 27.3 Nm at 7700 rpm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed gearbox.
Pricing and everything else is yet to be confirmed, but we expect the BMW motorcycle to be priced higher than the TVS Apache RR 310, which has been given the badge price. For reference, TVS currently sells the RR 310 at a starting price of Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
