Bounce Share, Howdy Partner for Last Mile Delivery Service

The two companies are set to deploy over 10,000 electric scooters over the next two years as part of the partnership.

Howdy, a logistics start-up, has partnered with Bounce Share, the EV rental arm of Bounce, for end-to-end delivery services. Under the partnership, the two companies will deploy over 10,000 electric scooters on Indian roads over the next two years for Howdy’s delivery service. The scooters will be equipped with Bounce’s battery swapping technology and will be deployed in five cities- Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad.

Speaking on the partnership, Ashirwad Deshmukh, Founder and CEO, Howdy, said, “We are thrilled to partner with Bounce for this strategic collaboration. Their respected market presence will help us to cover the last mile delivery space in at least five cities. The trust placed in us by companies like Bounce helps us to come a long way by making the right place in the Indian Logistics Industry. The scooter will use Bounce’s battery swapping technology and will be deployed in 5 cities.

Howdy entered logistics service in 2020 and the company’s vision was to promote the use of electric vehicles in mid-mile and last-mile deliveries. In addition to promoting the use of electric vehicles in last mile delivery services, the partnership aims to create over 20,000 new jobs for deliveries across five cities.

Battery swapping technology helps reduce wait times for electric vehicles to charge with riders simply needing to swap batteries with packs charged from designated swapping stations. It is said to reduce the waiting time required to charge the EV from a few hours to just a few minutes.
