Brahmins are ‘real minority’: Yatnali

Describing Brahmins as the “real minority” in the country, MLA and BJP leader Basanagouda Patil Yatnal claimed in Vijayapura on Monday that Muslims are “not a minority”.

“The real minority in India are Brahmins. Other minorities are Jains, Sikhs and Buddhists. How can a community around 12%-15% be considered a minority?” the former Union minister told reporters. In Karnataka, Brahmins are between 1.5%-3%, he said.
