“Captain Marvel” star Brie Larson has joined the cast of the tenth installment in the “Fast and Furious” film series, franchise star Vin Diesel announced on Sunday.
Diesel announced Larson’s casting on Instagram.
“Yeah yeah yeah… you see this angel climbing over my shoulder, you say to yourself ‘This is Captain Marvel.’ There is clearly love and laughter in this image. What you don’t see, however, is the character you will be introduced to in ‘Fast 10.’ “You have no idea how timeless and wonderful she would be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her wit… Her Oscar, haha it’s the intense soul that will add something you might not have expected, but longed for. Welcome to the family Brie,” the action star wrote alongside a picture with Larson.

Diesel will return as Dom Toretto alongside series stars Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang and Charlize Theron, who has played the villainous Cypher since “The Fate of the Furious”. The project, announced earlier this year, also stars Jason Momoa and Daniela Melchior.
“Fast & Furious 10” will be the final installment for the current cast; The eleventh film, directed by Lin, will be the final film in the Fast Saga.
