Britain’s political crisis: Former UK PM Boris Johnson ‘booded’ by travelers on his way back home

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was reportedly ‘mutilated’ by some co-passengers on his flight from the Caribbean to the UK. A Sky News reporter who was on the same flight on which Johnson reported the incident. While Johnson was ousted as prime minister, he is still expected to win back the position following the resignation of UK PM Liz Truss. Boris was vacationing in the Dominican Republic with his family and was seen returning home on a plane in the economy section. He shortened his leave to return to the UK. His flight was heavily tracked by the public amid discussions about Britain’s next leader. Johnson arrived in Britain on Saturday morning.

Boris Johnson ‘bood’ in flight

Sky News reporter Mark Stone, who was on the flight, said: “He boarded in front of everyone else on his own with his wife and two children. There was a mixed reaction, he was behind a glass area, as we waited inside.” Gate, we saw him on the other side of the mirror, some smelling, some people looking a little bewildered.”

Stone continued, “I think some holidaymakers here expected him to be on the plane, but had there been a boo or two, he wouldn’t have heard him because he was on the other side of the glass.” A photo of Johnson on the plane was also shared on Twitter.

UK PM Liz Truss resigns

There has been political turmoil in Britain after the resignation of Liz Truss.

While Rishi Sunak has reached the minimum threshold to enter the race for UK PM, Boris Johnson also intends to contest for the top post. However, Sunak and Johnson have not officially announced their bids to replace Liz Truss.
