British High Commissioner returns to Bengaluru with dosa, shares photo

The food of Bangalore is famous for its variety, richness and unique blend of flavours. The metropolis is famous for its authentic South Indian food items like Idli, Dosa and Vada. And don’t forget the delicious chutney and sambar served with them. Recently, British High Commissioner to India Alex Ellis was also seen enjoying a plate of dosa with sambar and chutney. If you follow him on social media, you would know that he is a foodie and often shares posts about enjoying the local Indian cuisine.

Mr Ellis shared a picture of his delicious meal on Twitter. In the photo we can see a bowl of sambar and a crispy dosa with coconut chutney. He captioned the post, “Back in Bengaluru #dosa.” He also added thumbs up and fork and knife emoji to it. Check out his tweet here:

The delightful Twitter post has garnered over 29.3K views and 773 likes so far. Internet users welcomed her back to town and loved the fact that Alice enjoys trying Indian food. One user wrote, “You are challenging the well-established norms of western dining etiquette.”

Another comment read, “Welcome to Bengaluru, Mr. High Commissioner.”

“There must have been all kinds of varieties? Rava dosa, pesarattu and so on?” another asked.

A fourth comment read, “I am sure you are working overtime on India-UK ties to burn the carbs and fat.” Another said, “It doesn’t matter what Western etiquette is, let me tell you one thing – you can experience the real taste of spice only when you eat with your hands.”

Well, this is not the first time that Elise has shared a glimpse of her foodie adventures in India. Earlier in January, he was seen trying Mumbai’s famous snacks from a roadside stall. In the photo, we can see him enjoying Mumbai’s famous sandwich and Chilli ice cream.
