BRS workers protest, burn effigy of Tagana BJP chief for derogatory remarks against K Kavita

New Delhi [India]March 11 (ANI): Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) workers and supporters protested in the national capital on Saturday against Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay for alleged derogatory remarks against BRS MLC Kavitha.

The protesters also burnt the effigy of Sanjay.

In response, Bandi Sanjay’s office said that the statement used by the BJP leader is a common phrase used in the Telugu language, which means that if someone commits a crime, you will appreciate or punish him.

“Some statements made by detainee Sanjay about 3 days ago are being exaggerated. This is a common idiom used in Telugu language, which means if someone commits a crime, you will praise him or punish him.

The statement further said that it is a diversionary strategy to create unrest in the state as the CM’s daughter has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) over the Delhi Excise Policy.

Significantly, the ED is interrogating K Kavita in Delhi today in connection with the liquor policy.

“BRS well aware of the quote is deliberately portraying it as an insult to the honor of a woman. This is a diversionary strategy to create unrest in the state as the ED has summoned the Chief Minister’s daughter in the Delhi Excise Policy.

Earlier on Wednesday, BJP’s Telangana president hit out at Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter Kavitha’s statement that the people of the state would not bow down before the rulers of Delhi.

Speaking during an event at the state BJP office on Wednesday on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Sanjay asked the MLC what the people of Telangana have to do with the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam.

“Was Kavitha involved in bootlegging for the sake of the people of Telangana? Is that wrong money being spent on crop loan waiver or payment of salaries to employees or unemployment allowance?” Sanjay asked.

He said that the people of Telangana never had any reason to hang their heads in shame, but now they are forced to do so in the light of Kavitha’s alleged involvement in the liquor policy matter.

“Kavita’s wicket has fallen in the liquor scam and very soon there will be many more clean bowls in BRS. There is no question of sparing those involved in liquor scam and gambling activities,” said Sanjay.

The BJP state president further alleged that women in Telangana were subjected to humiliation and humiliation under the KCR regime.

He accused KCR of not giving due respect to women.

“During his first term (as chief minister), there was not a single woman member in his cabinet. He will never make any woman member the president of the party. There is no Women’s Commission (in Telangana). For KCR, only his daughter Kavita represents complete women.

Meanwhile, BRS women activists of the cantonment filed a complaint with the Begumpet SHO to register a case against BJP President Bandi Sanjay Davar’s alleged indecent remarks against her. (ANI)
