Rajnath Singh said the budget proposal will take the country towards achieving its goal of becoming a $5 trillion economy and a “top three” economy globally within a few years.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said the Union Budget for 2023-24 is focused on development and welfare with priority to provide assistance to farmers, women, marginalized sections and the middle class.
Singh said the budget proposals would take the country towards achieving its target of becoming a $5 trillion economy and a “top three” economy globally within a few years.
Raksha Mantri said that the budget reflects the commitment of the government towards supporting development and welfare policies, which will equally benefit all sections of the society including small business owners, farmers and professionals.
“Union Budget for 2023-24 presented by FM Smt. @nsitharaman under the guidance of PM Shri @narendramodi is focused on development & welfare with priority to provide assistance to farmers, women, marginalized sections & middle class,” he tweeted.
“Investment in infrastructure projects paired with increased spending on the agriculture, housing, healthcare and manufacturing sectors will help create more opportunities for all and drive economic growth!” They said.
Singh said that the budget proposals would give further impetus to economic development.
“Increase Income tax The exemption limit of Rs 7 lakh and several other tax related reforms will provide a big relief to the middle class including salaried individuals and retired people. I congratulate the Finance Minister and thank the Prime Minister for this public-friendly decision.
