Bullet Train Project: Zetwork bags order from L&T for fabricated girders

New Delhi: Jetwork Manufacturing Business has received an order 126.55 crore from L&T for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad (MAHSR) bullet train project, the company said on Thursday. This order is for supply of Fabricated Girders.

Jetworks will supply 10,000 tonnes of fabricated girders, which will support the load carrying capacity of the steel bridges being prepared by L&T for laying the Bullet Train Rail Corridor.

The MAHSR Bullet Train Project is being implemented by National High Speed ​​Rail Corporation Limited.

The L&T-IHI Infrastructure Systems Consortium will build and transport 28 steel truss bridges, approximately 70,000 metric tonnes, on the 508-km-long MAHSR bullet train project, which will connect Mumbai and Ahmedabad through 12 stations. 1.1 lakh crores. The train will cover a distance of 508 km in 2 hours and 7 minutes, with a maximum operating speed of 320 km/h.

The MAHSR corridor is the first high-speed rail corridor under implementation among 12 planned high-speed rail corridors in India. The execution period of the order envisages that the project will be completed by 2023.

The high-speed rail project will carry many quantifiable benefits such as savings in travel time, vehicle operating costs, reduction in pollution, job creation, reduction in accidents/increased safety, and replacement of imported fuels, and reduction in pollutants. Apart from this, the project will also boost the infrastructure and add to the growth of the economy.
