Burger King, US, sued for falsely advertising its burgers; See how the Internet is responding

The Whopper is one of the most popular items on Burger King’s menus around the world. As the name suggests, the burger is big and heavy. However, the reality may be different. Some people in Florida, USA, noticed a mismatch between the images in the ad and the actual size of the Whopper. Soon, a number of food critics on YouTube and Twitter expressed similar opinions, and this all led to the filing of a class-action lawsuit against the burger giant. The lawsuit states that the Whopper, along with other products like croissant’wiches and double sausage sandwiches, is about 35 percent smaller than shown in the images.

Class Action alleges that Burger King began misrepresenting the size of its burgers in its ads in September 2017. The suit further stated that “Burger King advertises its burgers as larger burgers than competitors with oversized meat patties and ingredients that “overflow on the bun” to make it appear that the burgers are about 35% larger in size than the actual burger Contains more than twice as much meat.

The Twitter post attracted divided opinion on the lawsuit. While some agreed that the burgers were actually smaller than they appeared in the commercials, some said they were quite large, and some even praised the taste of the burgers, ignoring the size.
