Can jharkhand, ‘missing’ AAP MLAs rekindle opposition unity? TMC’s ‘horse trading’ raises hope on BJP

In new indications that opposition unity may not be a fictional idea, the Trinamool Congress on Friday slammed the BJP for horse-trading, calling developments in Delhi and Jharkhand an attempt by the saffron party to win the 2024 elections “through the back door”. relaxed me.

In its mouthpiece ‘Jago Bangla’, the party said: “Horse trading was started 200 years ago by horse traders and now the BJP is adept at doing so. They have almost done institutional horse-trading. Incidents in Rajasthan, Maharashtra Tells how they are working on it. Jharkhand MLAs caught in Bengal, but BJP is still shameless. Now their eyes are on Delhi, trying to buy AAP MLAs. Four AAP MPs on Wednesday accused the BJP of offering them Rs 20 crore for defecting and Rs 25 crore for persuading more MLAs to follow suit as part of efforts to topple their government in Delhi.

However, a party insider was of the view that the TMC’s strong criticism over the Delhi drama suggests that the party may talk to all opposition parties and try to ignite a mass movement.

Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal has been close to his Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee However, the Goa elections soured their friendship. Banerjee was also a rallying force for the opposition, until she objected to being included during deliberations on the presidential and vice presidential elections.
