In a tweet shared yesterday, Mahindra Group Chairman asked his 8.5 million Twitter followers to take note of the matter, “I am curious whether you think a CEO can survive after a mistake like this ?” Mr. Mahindra, 66, wondered whether it would be appropriate to give him a second chance.
Better.com CEO Vishal Garg apologized for his way of dealing with layoffs at the mortgage company after a video of him shooting 900 people via a Zoom call last week went viral on social media.
But after facing severe criticism leaked video, the CEO said in a letter on Tuesday: “I realize that the way I communicated this news made a difficult situation worse.”
“Is it fair, or not, to give a second chance…?” Anand Mahindra asked about Mr Garg’s apology while replying to a New York Times tweet.
