Canada Jobs: These 4 provinces issue invitations through PNP this week

Three more Canadian provinces this week issued invitations for candidates to apply through their Provincial Nomination Program (PNP). These provinces are British Columbia, Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

PNP Result this week:

Ontario: On December 13, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued 160 ITAs to Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream candidates. Candidates who were invited were already in the Express Entry pool with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores between 341-490. The draw this time targets candidates with work experience in specific National Occupational Classification Codes.

British Columbia: A further 212 ITAs were issued for provincial nomination by British Columbia on December 13.

The province invited 180 candidates in a general draw consisting of technical occupations. Invitations were issued to candidates in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories and this included Express Entry candidates.

Invitations were also issued to entry level and semi-skilled candidates. The SIRS score for a normal draw is between 80- 104. SIRS works much like the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), but is only used for PNPs in British Columbia.

Saskatchewan: In the first draw in more than a month, Saskatchewan invited 348 candidates under the Express Entry stream, and 285 candidates under the Occupation-in-Demand stream of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). Candidates of both the categories need a score of 82.

Two invitations were also issued to candidates with a score of 62 whose country of residence is Ukraine.

Manitoba: A total of 1,030 ITAs were issued under the Skilled Worker Foreign Stream of the Manitoba Provincial Enrollment Program. Out of the total number of candidates who received Expression of Interest (EOI), 656 had profiles in the Express Entry system.

Provincial enrollment is often considered an important step toward obtaining permanent residency from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). And through the PNP, interested candidates may be invited to apply for provincial nominations.

Most Canadian provinces and territories (with the exception of Quebec and Nunavut) operate their own provincial enrollment programs.
