Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Kennedy’ has been selected as part of the midnight screening section of the festival, which will run from May 16-27.

It is more polemical than noir, inspired by the crime writings of Patrick Manchet and his comic book collaborations with Jacques Tardy, and the cinema of Melville. It is also a deeply personal crime/police drama and I am very grateful to Zee Studios, Shariq and team, Neeraj, Bhumika, my producers Ranjan, Kabir and Kavan, my entire team, my partners in crime Silver, Qazvin, Prashant who have supported me helped shape it. ‘Agra’
Rahul Roy starrer ‘Agra’ will have its world premiere in the Directors Fortnight section of the Cannes Film Festival. The Hindi film written and directed by Kanu Behl is produced by Saregama India Limited, UFO Production and O28 Films.
The ensemble cast of ‘Agra’ is led by Aashiqui star Rahul Roy, who is making a comeback with this film. It also stars Priyanka Bose (actress of the Oscar-nominated film Lion), debutants Mohit Aggarwal, Ruhani Sharma, and veteran actors Vibha Chibber, Sonal Jha and Aanchal Goswami.

Manipuri filmmaker Aribam Syam Sharma’s 1990 award-winning film ‘Ishanau’ will be screened at Cannes this year.
