by Hamza Amir: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is facing over 100 cases across the countrySaid in an address on Friday that the government was involved in a deliberate crackdown against his party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, and its workers.

,Whoever is from PTI is on the wanted list of the government, I told the government team that I cannot allow the police officers to search my house. Then they said they were looking for those who vandalized the buildings. They need to give us evidence and if PTI people are involved, we will help them find them.

“They are using it as an advantage to crush the party. Our leaders have condemned it. They are being treated like this.” [party workers] To be given is beyond cruel. They pick up women from their homes. This is a deliberate action against PTI.”

Imran Khan said, ‘You cannot crush an ideology by beating people or putting them behind bars.’

This statement came after the Punjab government Warrant obtained to search Imran Khan’s Lahore residence And arrest the “terrorists” allegedly hiding there.

On 17 April, the Punjab government claimed that “30 to 40 terrorists were hiding inside Khan’s residence,” and gave his party a 24-hour ultimatum to hand over the miscreants. However, no action was taken after the deadline expired on April 18.

Today, officers obtained a search warrant and handed over a list of wanted criminals Involved in the May 9 riots that followed Khan’s dramatic arrest.

On 9 May, the PTI chief was arrested by the paramilitary Pakistan Rangers at the Islamabad High Court complex, leading to unrest in Pakistan. For the first time in the history of Pakistan, the Protesters stormed the Army Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and set fire to a corps commander’s house in Lahore.

Responding to a question on the decision to prosecute rioters under military laws, Imran Khan said, ‘Which military installation was attacked? I only know of the Lahore Corps Commander’s House and two or three other places.”

Furthermore, the former Pakistan PM denied involvement in any backdoor talks with the administration.

Imran Khan said, “I am not in touch with anyone. No backdoor talks are going on.”

Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan was ousted from power in April last year after he lost a no-confidence vote in his leadership. Notably, Imran Khan’s arrest comes a day after the Army accused the former PM of leveling baseless allegations against a senior official of spy agency ISI. Khan had claimed that Faisal Naseer alias ‘Dirty Harry’ was behind previous assassination attempts on him and was also responsible for the murder of journalist Arshad Sharif.
