Car sales December 2021: Nissan registers a growth of 159 percent

Nissan India’s wholesale sales stood at 3010 units in December 2021, registering a year-on-year growth of 159 per cent, while it witnessed a year-on-year sales growth of 323 per cent.

Nissan’s strong sales stem from Magnite’s success in 2021

Nissan India reported its sales in December 2021 and the company’s wholesales stood at 3010 units. The company has registered a growth of 159 per cent as compared to the same period last year. 2021 proved to be a year of significant growth for the Japanese carmaker backed by the success of the new nissan magnite, Nissan’s domestic sales stood at 27,965 units between April and December 2021, a growth of 323 per cent as against 6,609 units sold during the same period last year. Year-on-year exports grew by 28,582 units as against 17,785 units during the previous fiscal, registering a growth of 61 per cent.

Nissan Magnite has so far received over 77,000 bookings while the company has delivered around 35,000 cars to the customers

Speaking at the end of the year on a positive note, Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said, “Despite the challenges of COVID-19 and shortage of semiconductors affecting supply, Nissan has clocked a cumulative growth of 323 per cent, we have achieved a cumulative growth of 35000 per cent. Plus Big, Bold, Beautiful Nissan Magnite, the gamechanger SUV booking momentum continues to be strong, with 31 percent of over 77,000 bookings coming from the digital eco-system. Moving forward with supply chain support It will be our endeavor to maintain this growth momentum for the coming months and continue to deliver value to the customers with the lowest cost of ownership to assure the customers.”
