Carnatic singer Bombay Jayashree suffers from aneurysm, undergoes surgery in United Kingdom

carnatic singer Sangeeta Kalanidhi nominated Bombay Jayashree reportedly suffered an aneurysm while on tour in the United Kingdom (UK), and was rushed to the hospital.

(Damage to a blood vessel, or a weakening of the blood vessel wall, causes swelling of the artery wall or heart chamber.)

In a statement, Ms Jayashree’s family said she had taken ill in the United Kingdom, where she is currently touring for her concerts. He underwent surgery for an aneurysm.

The family, through a post on Ms Jayshree’s social media account, said: “He received timely medical intervention thanks to the able staff in the NHS and the cast that accompanied him. She is currently stable and recovering well, needs rest for a few days.” Requesting privacy, his family said his health status would be updated in due course.

He also requested that messages circulating on social media platforms be ignored.

Bombay Jayashree was to perform at the Tung Auditorium at the Yoko Ono Lennon Center at the University of Liverpool on Friday evening.

An accomplished Carnatic vocalist, Jayashree sings in several languages ​​and has also enthralled audiences with popular numbers rendered for Indian films.
