KALYAN: A day after clashes broke out between supporters of Shiv Sena factions led by Uddhav Thackeray and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in Dombivli, Ramnagar police booked a woman Shiv Sena leader Kavita Gawand of Uddhav faction for making derogatory remarks against Shinde.
Gawand has been booked under sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups) and 502 (sale of printed or engraved material containing defamatory material) of the Indian Penal Code.
The FIR was registered on the complaint of Shiv Sainik Yogesh Zukar of Shinde faction.
Zuiker, in his complaint, alleged that Gawand used deliberately derogatory remarks against Shinde to create a sense of enmity which was also recorded and posted by someone on various social media platforms.
