Caught on camera: Giant Burmese python crosses road in Florida

A group of friends are stunned after seeing a giant Burmese python cross the road in Everglades National Park in Florida, United States. The snake was caught on camera when Kimberly Clarke and her friends stopped to get a better look at the viper that blocked their path.

This video shows a Burmese python, estimated to be over 15 feet long, crawling across a road in the national park and making its way through. Ms Clarke, who made this video, informed local authorities of the snake’s location.

She also posted a video of the snake on Instagram with the caption, “My friends and I started the new year with a bang! So many incredible wildlife sightings! I’ll be posting them this week, but here’s my favorite: 15+ foot Burmese python crossing the road in Everglades National Park. We have pinned the location and reported it, as they are a huge threat to our ecosystem. Turn up the volume to hear me and ask a friend to pick it up! It’s probably a good thing he didn’t, because it didn’t go well last week when a non-venomous yellow rat snake bit him.”
