Caught on camera: Woman dragged out of temple by hair in Bangalore

A video of a woman claiming to be the wife of Lord Venkateswara who insisted on sitting next to the deity’s idol, was beaten up and made to walk out of a Bengaluru temple on the pretext. Although the incident took place on December 21, the incident has now come to light after the woman filed a complaint at the Amritapalli police station on Thursday. In the video, a man can be seen creating the woman on the floor of the temple. As the woman resists, the man pounces on her and continues to stretch her out of the temple door. When the woman continues to protest, he starts beating her.


The police have registered a case under sections 354, 323, 324, 504 and 506 of the IPC in the matter. Preliminary investigation found that the woman was claiming that she was the wife of Lord Venkateswara. He wanted to sit next to the idol of the god when the priest did not allow him to sit there, according to the allegation, the woman tipped off the priests. After which a temple employee thrashed him and dragged him out of the temple. Locals have claimed that the woman is mentally stable.
