CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Exam Analysis: Students surprised by the medium easy paper

Central Board of Examination (CBSE) Class 12 Chemistry Board Exam 2022 was held today, 14th December. According to experts, the paper was well balanced and as per the sample paper. Unlike the Class 12 board exams held so far, the Chemistry exam was relatively easy, based on the initial responses of the students. The students were expecting the paper to be difficult, which left many satisfied.

Anshu Mittal, Principal, MRG School, Rohini said, while the exam was moderately difficult overall, Section B was relatively difficult. “All the questions were from the syllabus and were based on the sample paper provided by CBSE. With practice done through sample papers and preboard exams, students were happy with their performance,” says Mittal.

Naman Jain, Education Policy Expert, and Director Silverline Prestige School, Ghaziabad said that “From the teacher’s point of view, the paper was balanced and NCERT based. The students were satisfied as they were expecting difficult questions, however, the paper was based on CBSE sample papers.”

Students and teachers claim that till now, many papers of CBSE Board Exams of Part I were tough and tricky. The board is facing criticism for finding a sexist passage in class 10 English paper, A comprehension passage was shown in the class 10 English paper that wrongly depicted women. The board has now decided to remove the passage completely and give full marks to the students. Class 12 Sociology paper had many spelling errors and missing questions.

According to experts, the accountancy paper held yesterday was also tough. It was not in line with the sample papers provided by the board whereas some were difficult and lengthy. The candidates also found the Physics paper difficult.

CBSE had changed the exam pattern this year and divided the exam into two parts. The exam is being conducted in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) format. Class 12 exams will end on December 21. The next exam will be tomorrow’s economics exam.
