CBSE Class 12 Geography exam: Students say the paper is moderately difficult

Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) Class 12 Geography Board Exam 2022 was held today, 9th December. The questions were in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) format for the duration of 90 minutes. According to the students the paper was quite easy and balanced.

“It was a good paper. Most of the questions were guesswork. The first overlooked passage was a bit tough, but the internal choices were well balanced. The students are also happy. They didn’t find it too difficult,” said Anubha Singh, Teaching Faculty (Hindi Department) , Senior Years, Shiv Nadar School, Gurugram.

On a similar note, Anshu Mittal, Principal, MRG School, Rohini, says that the Geography paper was “very balanced.” While some questions were concept based and others tested the thinking skills of the students.

“Most of the questions were based on direct concepts. However, a good amalgamation of higher-order thinking skills was seen in section B. Most of the questions asked were concept. The paper was definitely in line with the sample paper and school preboard exam provided to the kids.

Overall, a very balanced paper also from the point of view of the students as they were satisfied with the difficulty level of the exam,” says Mittal.

Next is the CBSE Class 12 paper Physics which will be held tomorrow, 10th December. The Board Exam 2022 of Part I will end on 21st December with Home Science.

CBSE is conducting Board Exam 2022 twice this year – I and II covering 50 percent syllabus in each part. The overall syllabus has also been reduced by 30 percent. If the pandemic situation improves, the second term will be held in February/March 2022. The final result will be prepared after considering the marks of both the conditions, however, in case of COVID-19 pandemic, the Board is unable to conduct the II examination, it will take into consideration the I result only.
